10 REASONS WHY WE DIFFER
We are family owned and operated. Very often if you were to walk down Cottage Grove, you will see Mr. Leak Sr. sitting in his office through the front window. The funeral business is not just the job that the Leak family has, it is their passion. When choosing Leak and Sons to service your loved one, you should be eased by the fact that a Leak family member will be involved from the initial call all the way to the place of final disposition. Mr. Leak Sr. and Jr. take pride in the fact that they make an appearance at every funeral service. Whether it be the start of the service, the end of the service, taking part in the ceremony at the cemetery or fellowshipping at the repast, they are there. When you have a concern, please know that you can within moments be in touch with a Leak family member.
Since 1933 Leak and Sons Funeral Home has been known to be the funeral home that” works with you”. If you have an insurance policy that you are not sure about call us. Our trained staff will call the insurance company for you and ask the questions that you may not know to ask. One word of advice if you are concerned that the insurance might have lapsed is to ask if the insurance policy had extended coverage. Our firm offers quality funeral services at much lower prices than the national average. We will never turn a family away because of the lack of funds.
We do not have an answering service. When you call Leak and Sons at 773-846-6567, you will be received by an actual employee 24 HOURS a day. He or she has been trained to answer your questions. If one answering the phone cannot answer those questions, a member of the Leak family will be called and they will return your call immediately.
We offer large chapels with wide isles which are easily accessible to the handicapped
Repast room with full kitchens at both locations. Families appreciate the fact that they can fellowship with their families before the funeral which we call a pre past, immediately after the funeral or proceed to the cemetery and then come back to the funeral home without having the worry of many people coming over to their home to fellowship.
Florist and printer on site. By having these items available at the funeral home, it takes pressure off of our families not having to travel to several other places in order to complete the final arrangements for their loved ones. Consider using our service to design a DVD that can be played throughout the wake and funeral of your loved one.
We offer late model automobile equipment. When choosing our services, our signature black and gold limousines and hearses will be available, however we do offer white livery as well.
If you do not have transportation to come in to make funeral arrangements, not to worry, we will send a limousine to bring you in to make arrangements as well as take you to choose a cemetery location.
While other funeral homes in our area close early, we are open for visitations from 8 a. m. to 10 p. m. Monday thru Sunday. We find that by offering longer times for visitations, it makes it more convenient for those who have busy schedules and cannot make it to view a loved one or friend during normal business hours.
